Heading north on the main corridor of Aroostook County, US Rt 1 is the route most take to travel through Northern Maine.

Bridgewater Maine is cut in two north to south by US Rt 1. So if heading up Interstate 95, take the Houlton Maine exit 302 and turn left on US Rt 1 to proceed north to Bridgewater Maine. Otherwise access by snow sled or ATV trail or coming over from New Brunswick Canada which requires a passport. Lots of our Canadian cousins do cross border hop for cheaper auto gasoline and other products purchased stateside in Maine.
